The Mods came together in the 90s as a group of professional session musicians ‘keeping their hands in’ between tours. 1st class musicianship, spirit, fun & entertainment guaranteed. Expect classics from the 60s and early 70s that encapsulate the true essence of Mod music and it's evolution. We perform classics from: The Who, The Small Faces, The Kinks, Toots and The Maytals, Desmond Dekker, The Spencer Davies Group, Stevie Winwood, The Rolling Stones, Booker T and the MG's, Manfredd Mann, The Yardbirds, The Animals, Jimi Hendrix ( occasionally)

The Mods have toured all over the UK and Europe playing theatres, clubs and festivals. They have been commissioned by the rich & famous for numerous exclusive private parties. The Mods played residencies at the exclusive ‘Le Moods club’ in Monaco. They have headlined The Harley Davidson Euro Festival & other Harley events including Austria, St Tropez & Silverstone. Expect classics from the 60s and early seventies that encapsulate the true essence of Mod music and it's evolution through the late 60's summer of love into the heavier 70's. Tim Huggins, Vocals

Tim has been performing for many years taking on lead vocal, bass & guitar duties with many different bands. Having spent much time in the USA playing in various outfits from Atlantic City to L.A. he now is a fully paid up member of The Mods. Tim also fronts The Affray, playing at festivals across Europe and enjoying regular gigs on the Harley Davidson Eurofestival Circuit. No stranger to the “larger stage,” he has played on the same bill as some of the worlds greatest performers, Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Blue Oyster Cult, ZZ Top, Peter Frampton, Roy Wood, The Fun Lovin’ Criminals, to name a few.

Steve Barnacle, Bass

Steve has worked with some of the world's greatest musicians, such as Tina Turner, Rick Wakeman, Pete Townsend, Rod Stewart, Fish and most recently, Queen in New York where he depped for John Deacon as they were inaugurated into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. He recently played for the Bonzo' He's a brilliant World Class musician and an all round great player and song writer too.


Mickey Simmonds, Keyboards

Mickey is a keyboard virtuoso child prodigy and played with Mike Oldfield, Joan Armatrading, Paul Young's Band, Fish, Camel, The Rutles and The Bonzo's as well as his own accomplished solo career. Absolute genius.

Johnny Marter, Drums

Johnny is an absolute Powerhouse, and often works with Steve Barnacle as one of the tightest rythmn sections in the country. Another brilliant all round musician Johnny was the drummer for Voyager, Mr. Big, Marillion, The SAS Band and Fish .In his first band he was discovered by Chas Chandler and actually met Jimi Hendrix.

John Kennard, Guitar

John Kennard took over guitar duties with The Mods after Steve Byrd left the band due to problems with tendons in his wrist. A top session guitarist John played at The White House for President Gerald Ford in his band "The Betty Ford Experience" raising thousands of dollars for great causes.
